Introduction: The Hook
Write your opening paragraph here. The goal is to grab your reader's attention, introduce the book, and give a brief "thesis" of your overall opinion.
Example:

Plot Summary (Spoiler-Free)
Briefly summarize the book's premise. What is it about? Who is the main character? What central conflict do they face? Remember to avoid spoilers!
- What is the setting (time and place)?
- Who is our protagonist, and what do they want?
- What is the inciting incident (the event that kicks off the story)?
- What is the primary challenge or obstacle they must overcome?
Analysis & Discussion
This is the heart of your review. Discuss what you liked and disliked, using the sections below to guide your thoughts. You don't have to fill out all of them, but they can help structure your analysis.
Characters
- Were the characters believable and well-developed? Did you connect with them?
- Was the protagonist compelling?
- Were the supporting characters memorable, or did they feel flat?
Plot & Pacing
- Was the plot engaging? Did it keep you turning the pages?
- Was the pacing effective? Did it drag or feel rushed?
- Were the plot twists (if any) well-executed?
Writing Style & Tone
- How was the author's prose? (e.g., simple, poetic, descriptive)
- Did the tone match the story's themes?
- (For non-fiction) Was the information presented clearly?
World-Building (Optional)
- Was the world believable and immersive?
- Did the "rules" of the world (e.g., magic, tech) make sense?
Themes & Ideas
- What were the central themes or messages?
- Did the book make you think or offer a new perspective?
Conclusion & Recommendation
Wrap up your review. Summarize your overall feelings and give a clear recommendation. Who would you recommend this book to?
